We did it! We kicked our former Representative Chris Cannon out and in my “humble” opinion it was about time. While I was in the “huge” Republican club at Utah Valley State College (Which consisted of four members including myself) we sat down at lunch with then Rep. Cannon. It was an eye opening experience to witness the arrogance of this mult-term representative as he told me about his user friendly website and how people could donate to his re-election campaign, yet he would not talk about his voting record on illegal immigration which my college republican colleagues and I had prepared to ask him about. As we parted our separate ways I realized then that there needs to be a rapid turnover of those who represent us to be able keep them in touch of those they represent. As Representative Elect Jason Chaffetz goes into office we need to hold his feet to the fire, letting him know we are here and that we are watching him and when his 3rd re-election comes, we need to find our precinct delegates and let them know we need someone new in the Republican seat.
