Wonder Whats Next?

Wow is Congress doling out our money fast to every bankrupted hand that comes forth. First it was the banks (which still hasn’t worked out, and we all knew it wouldn’t) and now Congress is having the heads of the big 3 automakers come grovel in front of them and these criminals… I mean, Congressmen can get some face time in front of the cameras. My personal opinion is simple... don’t give any money to them and put, Rep. Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dodd behind bars. I understand and sympathize with the workers of the Big 3 and understand that it is going to put a lot of people out of work for a little while. I recognize that these automakers are a hallmark of America but, I also recognize that giving them more money is only going to put another bandage on a wound that needs attention.
The attention that is needed for the “big 3” is to scrape the United Auto Workers (UAW) and the only way that that is going to happen it to fail and start over. The UAW is a thug that requires labor restraints, retirement packages, healthcare packages, minimum pay for their members, which their competitor would never give into. These demands are ridiculous and unsustainable and the UAW knows it but, they have good faith that they United States government will take care of it when the bankrupt the companies.
Increased attention must be given to the overbearing, arrogant United States government that places excessive regulations and unfunded mandates on these companies, which causes the car companies to retool and redesign their products only to have further regulations and mandates on them while their foreign competitor outsell and outperform the Big 3 at every turn. Why shouldn’t they when these companies are based in the hostile environment that the United State Government has created.
The United States has and will continue to deteriorate on the worlds stage of world players if, “we the people” will not demand these unions to release their strangle hold on companies and the government to get their greedy hand out of everyone persons pocket and business. The banks and automakers are only the first to fail. Next, it could be your job or business.

Wake Up and Smell the Correctness!

Imagine if Proposition 8 didn’t pass and all the people that contributed to the campaign against Proposition 8 were being targeted and forced from there occupations. Imagine there were protest in front of institutions that were opposed to Proposition 8. What would be the headlines on the news papers read and 10 o’clock news say? Would Bruce Lindsey say, “Bigoted people in front of homosexual gathering places have been protesting for the past 24 hours, holding homophobic signs and shouting threatening homophobic remarks, the ACLU have filed a lawsuit in an attempt to protect the owners and patrons to this and many other homosexual gathering places on their behalf.” Not too hard to imagine is it.
Yet this is exactly the opposite of what we are hearing. Anyone that contributed to the passage of Proposition 8 is a homophobic bigot. Anti-proposition 8 protesters are calling for their heads in the forms of lost jobs and disgraced names for them and their families. Church houses belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are continually having window broken, vandalism and protests outside of its Temples. Anyone that enters these Temples are taunted and terrorized.
What we are witnessing now is a lack of consistency with the media, civil liberty organizations and the finally law enforcement. Political correctness has struck again. The silent majority has spoken with the Proposition 8 and have gone back to sleep. The silent majority is again allowing the progressive agenda to control the politics in America by not demanding the same protection and media coverage for those against gay marriage. If this was happening to the homosexual community cries from the media, civil liberty unions along with law enforcement would be out in full force, ready for battle.
The silent majority must wake up demand consistency with media, law enforcement, and put an end to political correctness. The majority has spoken with Proposition 8, but it is not over until we see it enforced.

The 3rd District: Rep. Jason Chaffetz

We did it! We kicked our former Representative Chris Cannon out and in my “humble” opinion it was about time. While I was in the “huge” Republican club at Utah Valley State College (Which consisted of four members including myself) we sat down at lunch with then Rep. Cannon. It was an eye opening experience to witness the arrogance of this mult-term representative as he told me about his user friendly website and how people could donate to his re-election campaign, yet he would not talk about his voting record on illegal immigration which my college republican colleagues and I had prepared to ask him about. As we parted our separate ways I realized then that there needs to be a rapid turnover of those who represent us to be able keep them in touch of those they represent. As Representative Elect Jason Chaffetz goes into office we need to hold his feet to the fire, letting him know we are here and that we are watching him and when his 3rd re-election comes, we need to find our precinct delegates and let them know we need someone new in the Republican seat.

A Chance to Find their Souls Again.

Last night I cried I really did; my wife is married to a cry baby. As I watched the map turn blue along with senatorial and gubernatorial seats switching parties I felt as if my county was being wrenched out of my hands. I tossed and turned in bed and then once I fell asleep I woke up wondering if Al Franken won the Senate seat in Minnesota which by the grace of God he didn’t.
We are living in a strange and stressful times. We have a war that is running the debt of this nation into the red more and more each day and an economy that politician are trying to fix by giving blank checks to the treasury secretary that is bailing out banks that made the bad loans. It is like giving a drug addicts more drugs, where is the rational in that? If there is one thing that this election has made clear to me, that the American public is screaming that they hate George Bush and I happen to be one of them. I am sick of him and his minions that give conservatives a bad name. How can someone that has invaded the
American publics life through the Patriot Act, enlarged prescription drugs beyond recognition, approved the largest bank bailout in U.S. history, testifies that he wants security for his fellow American and still not seal the borders, is no conservative. He is a Republican that has lost his soul. If there is one thing that the so-called “Maverick”, John McCain, did right, it was putting Sarah Palin on his presidential ticket. She is everything that he and these so called Republicans aren’t, she’s Conservative. She is an outsider, and she has taken on her own party, not relying on what the latest focus group has to tell.
Governor Palin is the new face of Conservatives in America, she and others like her in this nation like Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, will rise when they are called upon in the near future to give guidance to disillusioned conservatives and to Republicans that have lost their souls.
